The day of the webinar, participants will receive an email with a link and a phone number to the webinar. You must have access to the internet and a phone at the same time to participate. Your computer must also have Flash installed.  If it doesn't, you will be asked to install Flash before joining the call/webinar. Each presentation will last 20 min with an opportunity for questions.

We're taking suggestions for webinar topics. Please email suggestion to support@schoolsavings.com . If there are no new topics for August, then we'll repeat the three webinars above. In September, webinars will focus on training new volunteers and coordinators how to use the system.

Summer Break is Almost Here!

The last day to make deposits at school is June 18th. Deposits will be accepted until 11:59 PM. After June 18th, you will not be able to enter deposits until SCHOOLSAVINGS.COM reopens on September 1st, 2010.

Even though deposits will not be accepted at school, Coordinators and Volunteers will still be able to manage students, manage schools, manage users and generate reports.

Parents and students will still be able to login, manage their account, view a deposit history, set a Quick Savings Goal and utilize the online Savings Register.

Your child can enter their short or long term savings goal for a chance to win one of four $25 prizes.

April's Crazy Contests! April is full of opportunities for ALL students and schools to win.

1. Annual SuperSaver™ Contest – Students who have made at least 10 deposits (100 points) by April 30, 2010 will be automatically entered in a random drawing for up to $200 in prizes. There will be 1 Grand Prize Winner and 9 Runner Ups announced the first week of May. Check the points on your Student Report.  If any students are close by not yet at 100 points, remind them to make a deposit every week during April.

2. Savings Goal Contest! – This contest is open to students linked to their parent's account on SCHOOLSAVINGS.COM. Any student that sets an online Quick Savings Goal from April 1 - May 9, 2010 will be entered to win one of four $25 prizes. Remember to send home the Parent Registration Flyer this month so students may participate.

3. Random Winners! – Starting April 5th, 2010, each week 5 students will be drawn at random to win $5 deposited to their account. ANY STUDENT THAT MAKES A DEPOSIT AT SCHOOL IS AUTOMATICALLY ENTERED EACH WEEK. All students have to do is make their regular deposit at school. Contest ends May 2, 2010.

4. SuperSaver™ School! – The school with the highest participation rate during the month of April will win $50 for an end of year party!

The school with the highest percentage increase of students linked to their parent will win. The flyer encourages parents to register on SCHOOLSAVINGS.COM so they may:

1. View their student deposit information online.
2. Teach their student how to balance a savings register.
3. Set short-term savings goals with their student.

One lucky parent that links to their student between February 16th and March 31, will win $25 deposited directly to their child’s savings account.

SCHOOLSAVINGS.COM today announced plans to help more than 2000 cancelled school savings programs nationwide restart banking the day after Labor Day.

The program was previously sponsored by Washington Mutual Bank (WaMu), but J.P. Morgan Chase did not continue the 86 year-old youth savings program after the merger.
