may not be able to provide certain services because it would be unable to complete
the transaction or service.
Reviewing And Editing Personal Information
Save For America believes its participants should have control of their personal
information. As such, Save For America participants, including parents or legal
guardians, can review, correct, change or remove their personal information and
elect not to receive future communications from Save For America.

steps to verify the identity of a participant or a participant's parent or legal
guardian before granting user account access to them. Only the user, or a parent
or legal guardian of a participant can access and modify any personal information
of a participant.
Participants may initially provide their personal information by registering with
a school volunteer, so long as the participant provides the school volunteer a completed
parental consent form (found in Save For America initial parent consent brochures).
Alternatively, an authorized user or a participant's parent or legal guardian may
provide Save For America with a participant's personal information by online registration.
Note that before a participant account can be activated, a parent or legal guardian
must tender to Save For America a participation fee or, the account holder's depository
institution must provide funding for participants.
Once a participant account is activated, a parent or legal guardian may obtain a password to access the user account and may therefore modify a user's personal information on file with Save For America. If a parent or legal guardian registered a user online, a unique password would have been generated and conveyed on-screen to the parent or legal guardian. Save For America encourages parents and legal guardians to keep user account password in a safe place. If a parent or legal guardian loses the user account password, the parent or legal guardian must retrieve their password via e-mail by providing certain original registration information. Save For America reserves the right to require a parent or legal guardian to provide certain identifying information before re-setting a user account password, and may ask for the answer to a challenge question, all to insure the identity of a user, or a user's parent or legal guardian.
Opting Out
Save For America gives Participants the opportunity to customize their experience.
Save For America enables each participant to choose their desired set of services
or features.
If a participant wishes to opt out of a particular service, the participant, or
a participant's parent or legal guardian, should notify Save For America of his
or her opt out. If a participant chooses to opt out of the entire Save For America
program, the participant, or the participant's parent or legal guardian, may contact
their depository institution and request that their Save For America account be
closed, or if the participant or participant's parent or legal guardian possesses
direct online access to the user's account, they may close the account online.
